After School Care *
Who We are
What to expect: Reliable after-school care your kids will actually enjoy. We provide a safe, welcoming space with small groups, homework help, active play, and time to unwind. Care is available until 6:00 PM, including pickup at early-release time on Wednesdays. We follow the District 6 school calendar.
Transportation: Jewett and Rogue Primary students can ride the school bus to RKC by listing us as an alternate address. Our RKC van currently picks up from CPE. Students in MAPS or special education programs may also be able to have RKC added to their existing bus route. More schools may be added in the future.
Inclusive Care: We are proudly neurodivergent-inclusive. Our current staffing can support children with Level 1 autism who can safely participate in a group setting. Children requiring a higher level of care must attend with dedicated 1:1 support, such as a parent, PSW, or DSP.
Big Fun. Small Groups. Real Connections.

We use clear expectations, calm redirection, natural consequences, and problem-solving. No shaming, or harsh punishment. We support the feeling without supporting an unsafe or unkind action, and give kids plenty of chances to retry and have a do-over. Mistakes are one of the biggest ways children learn and grow! We understand that kids may be tired or overwhelmed after holding it together all day at school, but safety and respectful behavior are still expected.
-
Yes. We help kids practice naming their feelings, asking for space, setting boundaries, handling conflict, calming their bodies, and repairing things when mistakes happen. Our goal is to help kids build real-life skills, not expect perfect behavior.

We provide an afternoon snack each day with simple, kid-friendly options such as fruit, crackers, pretzels, granola bars, cheese, or popcorn. We do not serve snacks containing artificial food dyes. Choices rotate and gluten-free and gluten-friendly choices are available.
Please let us know about any allergies, celiac disease, or dietary needs. Families are also welcome to send a separate snack for their child.
